Where Buckeye Sits
Buckeye is the westernmost suburb of the Phoenix metro, about 30 miles west of downtown Phoenix in the Buckeye Valley. It is Arizona's second-largest city by area, with limits stretching far north and south of the original town center.
The original town grew up around Monroe Avenue downtown. Buckeye was ranked the fastest-growing U.S. city in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
Buckeye ZIP Codes
Buckeye mailing addresses use ZIP codes 85326, 85396. A mailing address does not always match city or town limits, so we confirm the jurisdiction from county records for each home.
School Districts
Buckeye is served by many districts, including Buckeye Elementary, Buckeye Union High, Liberty Elementary, Litchfield Elementary, Palo Verde Elementary, Saddle Mountain Unified, Agua Fria Union High and others. With so many districts, assigned schools vary a lot by subdivision. Boundaries do not follow ZIP codes, so we check assigned schools with the district for each address.
